Maria "Niki" Evans-Hook, LCMHCA
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. I graduated Walden University
with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Crisis and Trauma. I am
a United States Army Veteran where I spent a good part of my service dedicated to supporting
military personnel experiencing trauma and crises. In my last position in the armed forces, I was
an advocate for sexual assault survivors, and I worked with military personnel to increase
awareness and prevention of sexual assault.
I pride myself in my ability to build relationships with clients that will facilitate an environment
of safety and trust. I believe anyone who asks for assistance has shown their ability and strength
to work through any situation. I utilize Person-Centered Therapy, techniques found in
Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies (CBT), and Trauma-Informed
Therapy to facilitate a pathway to healing and prosperity for clients.
I work with individuals and facilitate groups, by walking side by side with them on their journey
to heal, grow and thrive in life. I enjoy working with adults, army veterans, children, and teens
on life skills, managing anxiety and depression, and supporting clients with various trauma.
I am accepting clients with Aetna, BCBS, MedCost, and Self-Pay.
